We have been in Germany for about 5 days now. It is great! We have been getting really worn out lately and so we've been taking it easy here. We are staying in a little resort town with a beautiful lake, so we have been doing small hikes and walks around the lake. Yesterday we went to Dachau Concentration Camp. I don't think I can go into detail there because I'll start cryzing in this internet cafe, but suffice it to say that it was terribly sad. Everyone who has a chance should visit one in their lifetime.
Today we are in Berchtesgaten and we saw Hitler's Eagle's Nest. Basically his summer home. Oh, and Tuesday we had quite the adventure finding the temple in Frankfurt. We finally found it, right before the last session at 5:00! It was a close one!
We will be back in the states on Monday and back in Idaho Tuesday.

Switzerland!!!
We love Switzerland!! We have only been in Bern one day, but it is great! It feels so much like home to us. There are beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes, and a much cooler climate! It is beatiful here. Today we climbed up the tower of the tallest cathedral in Bern, we climbed up to some beautiful rose gardens, with an amazing view, and we saw the Bern bears. We plan on going to the Bern temple tomorrow and heading to Lucerne, Switzerland where we will do some biking, swimming, and chocolate tasting :)
I have been trying to post more pictures, but I am on a computer that doesn`t recognize my camera. Maybe next time!

More Italy
Sorry, no pics today. I forgot my camera cord. We are leaving Rome tomorrow. We have seen so much! Yesterday we took a day trip to Venice. It was fun, but we were glad it was only a day trip because we were feeling a bit claustrophobic there with the tiny winding streets that are hard to navigate. Tomorrow we head to Florence for a couple of days. That is one of KC's favorite cities, so we are excited to go! After that we head to Switzerland. We are so excited to move to the northern countries because the heat and humidity are killing us! Backpacking in upper 90 degree weather with humiduty can be a beast. We still love it here though!

Rome and more pics
We made it to Rome! We had a crazy day here yesterday, but we are getting used to the craziness. We saw the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain and some other sites. Today we will probably go to some museums and we will hit the Vatican tomorrow. Its a relief to be here for a whole week! We have been in 4 countries in 2 weeks, so it's nice to stay somewhere for awhile. Here are some more pics :)

Greece
We are now in Greece! It is very hot and humid here, but less tourists, so that is OK. We went and saw many Greek ruins today including the Parthenon and Zeus's temple. Tomorrow we are heading to the coast :)
We spent our one month anniversary walking the streets of Paris, going to the Louvre, and going up on the Eiffel Tower. We got there right as the lights turned on. It was perfect! Kc will have a hard time topping that anniversary!

Paris
We love Paris! We have been here 2 days now and have 1 and 1/2 more. The atmosphere is great and things are MUCH cheaper than in England. We went to Versailles yesterday and today we went to 2 art museums and the Notre Dame cathedral. It's amazing! The architecture here is wonderful! We are on our way to the Arc de Triumph now. I will try to post pictures when I get more time.

Europe
Well it's Day 2 in London. Yesterday we watched the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, walked through Hyde Park and saw the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. Today we went on a tour of the Tower of London, stopped by Westminster Abby, saw Big Ben, the Millenium Wheel and saw the musical "Wicked." In about a half an hour we are off to see the play "The Mousetrap" by Agatha Christie. It is the longest running show in the world! Over 50 years I believe.
Well it's really hot in this tiny Internet cafe, so I am going to be off. I will update more later! :)

The Proposal
Many people have been asking me how Korbin proposed. I decided that this is probably the easiest way to reach a lot of people, so here is the story!
It was Friday, March 19, and I was teaching at school. Korbin had gone to UT the night before to pick up a few things he forgot when he moved up here (or so I thought!). At about 1:45 in the afternoon, I got a phone call from the office. The secretary said that the principal needed to meet with me about one of my students and that they would send someone to watch my class. So our health tech came down to take over my class while I went to this meeting. I met with my principal for about 15 minutes and then headed back to class.

As I approached my classroom, I could see through the window in the door. The kids were lined up holding letter signs that spelled "Miss Holmgren." I was thinking, "What is she having them do? This wasn't in my instructions at all!" I opened the door and saw another row of kids kneeling below the first row. Their letters spelled "Will You Marry Me?" There's balloons on my desk and KC's sister, Candis and the health tech, Amber, are holding cameras. I turn the other way and see KC standing there off to the side of the kids. I was so surprised! I had no idea! I really thought he was in UT! Anyway, he knelt down, took my hands, and proposed. I, of course, said yes. The kids when crazy! He bought them all ring pops to have as a thank you for helping him. I thought it was adorable!

So that is our proposal story :) He did a great job!
Welcome!
Welcome to our blog! I figured since we are entering the married world and might have somewhat meaningful things to post now, we should have a blog. So here it is!
